Note that king and super king are 10cm longer than the smaller sizes — 200cm instead of 190cm. This matters if anyone sleeping in the bed is over about 6ft tall.
How big is a king size bed?
A UK king size bed measures 150cm wide by 200cm long (5ft x 6ft6, or 60 x 78 inches). It gives each of two people 75cm of width — about 15cm more each than a standard double. A king size bed frame with the mattress fitted typically occupies around 160 x 210cm of floor space once the headboard and frame edges are counted.

The most common point of confusion: a US queen is closest to a UK king, and a US king is closer to a UK super king. There is no UK size called "queen" — if you see one advertised in the UK it usually means a 150 x 200cm king.
